FAQ
Is this a weekend long event?
It is up to you!
The wedding will be Saturday, July 22nd with doors opening at 3:30pm and ceremony starting at 4:30pm. The wedding reception ends at 10pm. However, there are multiple ways to join in for more fun throughout the weekend, if you would like to.

Those who are in town on Friday, July 21st are invited to join for our Ice Cream Welcome from 7:30-9:30pm at the wedding venue.

Those who are in town on Sunday, July 23rd are invited to join for our Farewell Brunch from 10am-11:30am at the wedding venue.

And those who love to party are invited to join for the after party at the speakeasy saloon (part of the wedding venue) from 10pm-1am. We will have shuttles running until 1am.

You will be able to RSVP for these extras when you RSVP for the wedding! (we need to know in advance so we can have enough food/staff/etc.) Thanks so much!

What will the weather be like?
In July the average high is 78 degrees and average low is 60 degrees in Los Alamos, CA. It can be hot in the summer so the temperature range could be anywhere from 60-100 the day of the wedding. The welcome and cocktails hours are indoors where there is air conditioning, and it should cool off into a beautiful warm evening outside if it’s a hot day. Guests are welcome to escape into the AC as needed throughout the event.
What should I wear?
The dress code is “cocktail attire”. What does this mean? A bit fancy!

Definition from brides.com: “Cocktail attire is a balance between formal and casual and elegant and comfortable. To an event with this dress code, such as a wedding, men typically wear a suit and tie while women wear a cocktail dress.”
Of course, feel free to wear styles you feel comfortable in, but if you like to dress up, this is an opportunity! The wedding will be in the summer and it might be quite warm, so lighter fabrics might be best if possible.
(The bride will be wearing white, the maid of honor will be wearing white with a blue flower pattern, the bridesmaids will be wearing light blue dresses from BHLDN, the groom and groomsmen will be wearing blue suits).
What is happening indoors vs outdoors?
  • Welcome hour is indoors
  • Ceremony is outdoors (on grass)
  • Cocktail hour is indoors
  • Reception is outdoors (grass and brick patio)
  • After party is indoors (saloon!)
Are children allowed to attend the wedding?
We politely request that no kids under 12 years old attend.

We know that some of our guests may have babies that cannot be left safely at home and we want to support our guests that are new parents! We will have some babysitting available for babies and toddlers at an adjacent property from 3:30pm - 10pm (the hours of the wedding) so parents can pop over to check on their kiddos as needed throughout the event. Numbers are limited, and we will collect information about the number of kids needing care when you RSVP. Hopefully this allows everyone to enjoy a night off to relax and party!
Can you describe the bathroom situation?
There are at least 14 toilets total at the venue.

3 bathrooms are downstairs in the lobby of the hotel. There are 2 toilet rooms upstairs. If you get really desperate please find a bridesmaid or groomsman as they all have rooms upstairs with bathrooms and I’m sure they can help you out.

The bride is very pro access to plentiful, clean, safe, and easily accessible bathrooms for all. She is very passionate about it.
Will there be shuttles?
Yes!
Please do not drink and drive. If you are staying in the town of Los Alamos, you can walk to the venue.

If you are staying in Solvang or Buellton, we will have shuttles to and from the wedding venue.

Why is the rum gone?
This is more of a tequila and whiskey type of event.
Can I bring a guest?
Check your invitation, and if you are unsure, please reach out to the bride or groom about this. We are happy to help!
What if I have special dietary restrictions?
Let us know when you RSVP and you will be accommodated.
Will the bar be open?
Yes! We will have 2 signature cocktails ( Watermelon Margarita & Peach Whiskey Smash ) and a selection of beers and wines, as well as non-alcoholic beverages to choose from. You will also be able to order any basic drinks from the bar with the two liquors from our signature cocktails (whiskey & coke or a tequila soda with lime). Feel free to get creative!
What is the wedding hash tag for social media?
We don’t have a hashtag but are open to ideas!

I used a wedding hashtag generator and found the following haha:

I can't attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?
I’m so sorry, there will be no virtual celebration.
